A Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputy and the alleged driver of another vehicle suffered minor injuries in a high speed chase in Lincoln County on Oct. 11, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.

The chase began in Lincoln County when a deputy on patrol ran a license plate check on a vehicle and found the registered owner had multiple felony warrants, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release. Two deputies attempted to stop the suspect’s vehicle, which fled at estimated speeds of up to 100 mph and covered more than 14 miles. The chase continued into Oneida County on Lakewood Road in the town of Cassian, where the chase ended.

Two squad cars were damaged in the pursuit, along with the suspect’s vehicle, which was rammed by the Sheriff’s Department.

The suspect, who has not been named and not yet charged, was medically treated and released for minor injuries.
