WAUSAU — Two people were arrested Tuesday after a man allegedly threatened his girlfriend’s former boyfriend on Wausau’s west side, according to police.

Witnesses say the man pointed a gun at another man before fleeing in a vehicle. The couple, a man and woman, were arrested shortly before 3 p.m. near the intersection of Thomas Street and Grand Avenue, according to police.

Officers reportedly recovered a weapon inside the vehicle. The man is expected to face charges of intentionally pointing a firearm at a person and disorderly conduct, while the woman faces potential charges of obstructing an officer. Official charges could be filed as early as Wednesday.
