MARATHON COUNTY — There’s no word yet on injuries in a crash Monday on Hwy. 51 after a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi tractor trailer, a pickup, and one additional vehicle.
Witnesses tell Wausau Pilot and Review multiple emergency vehicles responded after the driver of one vehicle crashed into a pickup, then crashed into a semi tractor trailer before careening into the guard rail toward the river.
The crash happened late afternoon Monday on Hwy. 51 at NN, slowing traffic to a crawl for hours, according to witness statements. Crews remained at the scene as of 6:30 p.m.
