STEVENS POINT — Adults looking to improve their balance can participate in a new aquatic exercise class this fall through the Special Needs Aquatic Program, or SNAP, at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, in addition to the Basic Aquatic Exercise and Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program.

The new Balance Plus Aquatic Exercise course offers adults activities that improve balance, strength and flexibility. It is held from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Wednesdays and Fridays, starting Oct. 31 and running to Dec. 19 (no class Nov. 22). The cost is $56.

The other two classes will run Mondays and Thursdays, Oct. 29 through Dec. 20 (no class Nov. 22), for $60. The Basic Aquatic Exercise class will be held at 8:45 a.m. and the Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program will be held at 10 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Each class is limited to 15 participants. The classes are held in the therapeutic pool, adjacent to the Quandt Fieldhouse in the UW-Stevens Point Health Enhancement Center, 2050 Fourth Ave.
