WAUSAU — Sections of two Wausau streets will be closed for part of the day Friday while crews complete planned work, city officials said.

Randolph Street at Burek Avene is closed until noon Friday to complete a paving overlay project, according to the Department of Public Works.

On the city’s southeast side, work is being performed on Roosevelt Street and Fairmount Street. Residents will still be able to access their homes but emergency services will not be able to get through the work area, according to DPW. Work is expected to take the majority of the day Friday.
