Lester A. Krueger
Lester Arnold Krueger Jr, 80, of Kronenwetter, passed on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Wausau Hospice House, after a courageous 18 year battle with cancer.
He was born on March 9, 1938 in Birnamwood, WI to Lester Sr. and Myrtle Krueger. He married Jean Heil on November 29, 1958.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; 2 sons Dean (Kathy) Krueger and Keith (Ashley) Krueger; 2 daughters Holli (Brian) Braun and Carmen Krueger. Also 5 grandchildren Brandon, Melanie, Tiffany, Kaitlin, and Paige; along with 7 great grandchildren. 3 siblings Harland (Pat) Krueger, Marlene (Ken) Aschbrenner, and Virginia (Bill) Stein. Sister-in-law Enid Krueger and brother-in-law Bill Clark.
Lester is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Christine, brother Robert Krueger, sister Phyllis Clark, and sister Carol Simon.
Lester retired in 2005 after working 20 years for the Village of Kronenwetter. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, country music, playing games, and traveling. He mostly enjoyed sharing time with his family.
Memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Brainard Funeral Home, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston. Wes Jedras will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
The family would like to send a special “Thank You” to all of the nurses and staff at Marshfield Medical Center and the Wausau Hospice Center for their special tender and comforting care.
Susanne “Sue” Christine Pergande
Susanne “Sue” Christine Pergande, 77, of Weston, passed away October 30, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Sue was born August 19, 1941 to Andrew and Emma (Albertson) Erickson in Westbrooke, Minnesota. She married Charles Pergande August 22, 1959 in Merrill, Wisconsin.
Family and friends were very important to Sue. She chose this quote and it captures the essence of who she was. “Think of me as living in the hearts of those I touched, for nothing loved is ever lost and I have loved so much”
Susanne is survived by her husband Chuck; son Steven (Linda) Pergande; daughter Cathy (Ron) Lamb; brothers Orea, John and Arlo Erickson; grandchildren Andy Lamb, Christine Pergande, Amanda (Don) Winter, David Pergande, Zach (Trisha) Kubichek, Kyle Kubichek, and Jimmy Lamb; and great-grandchildren Ethan, Braelee, and Karlan. Sue is preceded in death by daughter and son-in-law Carla and Brian Kubichek; brother Derald Erickson and sister Lorna Gorman.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 3rd at 3 pm at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 6205 Alderson Street, Weston. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service. Pastors Lance Hoelscher and Ray Connor will preside. Private burial will be held at a later date.
Alice Luedtke
Alice Mae Luedtke, 85, of Wausau, passed away on November 2, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 29, 1933 in Wausau, daughter to the late Rudolph and Viola (Hase) Knapp. Alice married Charles Luedtke on September 25, 1954 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wausau.
Alice worked for the Wausau School District as an administrative assistant for over 25 years. In her free time, she enjoyed helping with her children’s activities at school and enjoyed spending time at the family cottage feeding the animals. She was an avid Brewer fan and loved to watch them play. Alice loved to cook and always hosted the family holiday dinners. She and Charles were members of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed Bible Study Group and playing cards with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; daughters, Cathy Hirn, Wausau, Sue (Todd) Hackbarth, Wausau, and Laurie (Dan) Lutkenhouse, Folsom, CA; grandchildren, Peter (Kelly) Hirn, Wausau, Carrie (Taylor) VanderSloot, West Olive, Michigan, and Kent Hackbarth, River Falls; great-grandchildren, Mason, Levi, and Wyatt Hirn, and Kane and Bensen VanderSloot. She is further survived by her brothers, Clifford and Chum Knapp and her sister-in-law, Lois Knapp.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Harold Knapp.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 Stewart Ave, Wausau. Pastor Zach J. Holdorf will officiate. Visitation will take place from 9:00 am until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to Trinity on Stewart or the Wausau School District Foundation. Minnie “Min” Clark
Min (Minnie) Clark died on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. She was born April 23, 1921 to Herman and Minnie (Schultz) Leo in Mondovi, Wisconsin.
Min married Bob Clark of Gilmanton, Wisconsin on June 22, 1940. They lived in several Eastern U.S. cities while Bob was in the Navy and Min was employed in U.S. Civil Services. They resided for several years in Mondovi, Wisconsin, where their two children were born, Mary Beth Fix and Richard Clark. The balance of their married life was spent in Racine, Wisconsin, where Min was employed by J.I. Case Co. and Tenneco Corp. Min moved to Wausau in 1995, at which time she was retired.
Min is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Fix of Sussex, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Ann (Duane) Wunrow of Menomonee Falls, WI, and Robert and Nicholas Clark of Racine, WI; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Ethan Wunrow; and her sister Audrey Bey; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob; her son Richard; two brothers, Carl and Ralph Leo; and her sister, Etta Rieck.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 600 Stevens Drive, Wausau. Pastor Ken Albers will officiate. Visitation will take place from 10:00 am until the time of services at the church. Burial will take place in the Gilmanton Cemetery, Mondovi, Wisconsin at a later time. Ace McLaughlin
Ace W. McLaughlin, 71, Kronenwetter, died Thursday, November 1, 2018 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at his home.
He was born January 25, 1947 in Minnesota, son of the late Leonard and Ermine (Fletcher) McLaughlin. On March 25, 1972 he married Susan Gorman in Rothschild. She survives.
Ace served his country in the United States Army and worked at the former Central Storage Warehouse. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and most of all spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Susan McLaughlin; children, Kevin McLaughlin, Kurt (Kim) McLaughlin, Kim (Scott) Hintz and Kristie (Aaron) Wunsch; grandchildren, Maya McLaughlin, McKenna Hintz, Jacob and Cailin Will and Gavin Wunsch; sisters, Sandra Seefeldt, Linda (Gary) Rajek and Cindy (Jim) Sward.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Rev. Joy Nelson-Jeffers will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.

Duane R. Stencil
Duane R. Stencil, 61, Wausau, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the U-W Hospital in Madison.
He was born December 27, 1956 in Wausau, son of the late David and Ruth (Janisch) Stencil. On August 20, 1991, he married Mary Detert in Las Vegas. She survives.
Duane was a veteran of the United States Airforce. He was most recently employed with Merrill Steel in Wausau.
Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, getting together with his buddies, grilling out and drinking a good Korbel and Coke in a little glass with two small straws. His greatest enjoyment was riding around town on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Survivors include, the love of his life, Mary Stencil, Wausau; his daughter, Danielle Stencil (Eric Gesell), Wausau; his grandchildren, Jarek Czerwinski and Marley Smith, both of Wausau; one brother, Dennis (Jean) Stencil, Wausau; one sister, Shirley (James) Britten, Webster, MN; three sisters-in-law, Barb Perry (Lawrence Bech) Lublin, WI, Deb (Jim) Blair, Weston and Lori (Wade) Parnell, Waunakee; one brother-in-law, Barry Detert, Wausau; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be at Noon on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Deacon Peter Burek will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau, with full military honors conducted by the American Legion Montgomery Plant Dudley Post No. 10, Wausau. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and again on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.

Bernice Carol Kozlowski
She was the heart of our family and our lives. It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved mother, Bernice Carol Kozlowski, passed away on Thursday, November 1st at the Hospice House. She was born in Wausau on December 2, 1932 to the late Herbert and Margaret (Hauser) Kort. She married Raymond Kozlowski on September 28, 1953. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1986.
Bernice graduated from Wausau Senior High School in 1950 and shortly thereafter was employed in the business office at the former American Can Company in Wausau for many years. After taking some time off to raise her children she then returned to full-time employment as parish secretary at the former St. Mary’s Church, now The Church of the Resurrection, a position she held for over 25 years. She retired in 2016 at the age of 83. Bernice lived a life of service for others and she embodied the true spirit of giving.
Mom was an extraordinary mother who possessed a deep sense of the importance of family. She encouraged us to be “ever-present” for one another and stressed the importance to love and forgive despite differences of opinions. Mom was thoughtful, compassionate and kind to all who came into her life and she inspires us to follow her example.
Mom was tireless in her life and her work. She ran her household, raised 6 children, had a successful business career and was heavily invested in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was especially joyful when spending simple moments with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren and they are so grateful for her unconditional love. We are so thankful that they had this time with Gram!
Mom loved animals and especially enjoyed watching and whistling to the birds. She loved music and had a beautiful voice. Some of our most treasured memories center around mom singing to our children while rocking them to sleep. Mom also liked to play cards, bowl, and she loved to dance!
Four generations have been richly blessed by her generosity & enduring love, her dedication & support, her self-less acts of kindness & giving. She has watched over us, prayed for us and believed in us our whole lives. We have flourished beneath those constant and invisible wings of support, wisdom and unconditional love.
Survivors include her daughter Linda (Devery) Quandt, Wausau, and their children Ryan (Julia) Quandt and Travis Quandt, Michael (Bea) Kozlowski, Wausau, and their children Justin (Courtney) Kozlowski and Melissa (Ethan) Bremer, James (Sharon) Kozlowski, Wausau, and their children Matthew Kozlowski and Kelsey Kozlowski, Kristin (Jeff) Fox, Hampton, New Hampshire, and their children Nicole (Stephen) St. Cyr and Stephanie (Jameson) Copp, Jeff Kozlowski, Plymouth, Minnesota, Karen (Andy) Kozlowski, Wausau, and 6 great grand children, Gabriella, Harper, Delaney, Henry, Hamilton and Clayton.
Along with her parents and husband she was predeceased by her sister Mary Ann (Ewert) Luetzke.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at The Church of St. Anne. The Reverend James Schaefer will officiate. Visitation will be on Monday evening, November 5, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church and again Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Mountain Terrace Senior Living and the Hospice House for their tender and compassionate care. We are also grateful to all the friends who called, visited, sent cards and were there to support mom – she cherished each one of you. We especially thank Reverend James Schaefer for his friendship, care and support of our mom during the past 50 years.

Lon “Lonnie” Wolff
Lon ‘Lonnie’ Wolff, 75 of Wittenberg, died on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Maple Lane Care Center, Shawano.
He was born on August 26, 1943 in Wausau, the son of the late Theodore and Florence (Carlson) Wolff.
On October 20, 1962, Lonnie was united in marriage to Jeannie Nievinski at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent. She survives.
Truck driving was Lonnie’s life. He drove milk for his brother, Lee, at the age of 16 and was hooked. He drove semi with his buddy, Alex, for John Riley Trucking. Lonnie then drove dump truck in Milwaukee for 20 years for Kramp & Hyland Construction before working for Hanz in Wausau and Lisa’s Trucking in Antigo. Lonnie loved Polka music, especially Pat Zoromski. He also enjoyed John Wayne shows and western movies. Lonnie loved his dogs; Smokey, Louie, Charlie and Jackson.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Jeannie Wolff of Wittenberg; three daughters Judi of Wittenberg, Juli on the road and Bonnie of Morgan Hill, CA; five grandchildren Angela Hart, Kerri (Chris) Marotta, Melanie Hart, Colyn (Tiffany) Hart and Mason Gill; a great-granddaughter Audrey Hart and another great-granddaughter due soon and a sister Lyn Wolff of Wittenberg.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Lee and his wife Betty and a brother-in-law, Leonard ‘Peachy’ Nievinski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent. Fr. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9AM until the time of Mass at the church.
