ONEIDA COUNTY, Wis. — A 52-year-old Merrill woman is dead following a crash on Hwy. 8 in Oneida County, according to police.
The two-vehicle crash was reported at about 10:15 p.m. Friday and happened near the intersection of Hwy. 8 and Shady Rest Road, according to a Wisconsin State Patrol news release.
Police say the woman who died lost control of her vehicle, crossed the center line and struck an oncoming semi. The driver of the semi was injured and was treated at the scene.
Hwy. 8 was closed for hours but reopened early Saturday.
No names have been released.
