WAUSAU — The Center for the Visual Arts will host a gallery gala that highlights three new exhibits in early December.
You can view the “Gifted by Hand” exhibit in the Caroline S. Mark Gallery, the “CVA Volunteers & Student Exhibit” in the Loft Gallery and “Artful Gifting” exhibit in the Vault Gallery, featuring artists represented in the CVA Gift Shop, during an opening gallery gala from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 7.
The “Gifted by Hand” exhibit features six local and regional artists working in a variety of media. View the original artwork and become inspired by handmade jewelry designs by Tasha Rae, garden themed ceramics by Nancy Briggs, and wood turned wine stoppers by Ed Sandle.
Also view paintings by Jamie Kalvestran, kiln-formed glass and ornaments by Sara Rezin and textured ceramic watercolor wall hangings and ornaments by Faith Ann Givings.
The “CVA Volunteer & Student Exhibit” is an appreciation exhibition for the CVA’s volunteers and students.
The CVA also features select artists who are represented in the CVA Gift Shop. Unlike the other exhibits, guests who purchase art from “Artful Gifting” can take their purchases with them that day. Mediums include painting, pottery, photography, ornaments, cards, hats, mittens and wood. Artworks in the Caroline S. Mark Gallery and Loft Gallery will be released beginning Dec. 19.
The Caroline S. Mark Gallery and Loft Gallery exhibits are on view from Nov. 16 – Dec. 29. The CVA galleries are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday – Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
