TOWN OF CORNING — A 62-year-old woman was seriously injured Friday after falling from a deer stand, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.

The Merrill woman, whose name has not been released, was discovered at about 5:45 p.m. Friday in the town of Corning by a relative. Police say the woman appeared to have fallen from an elevated deer stand.

The woman was flown by Life Link III helicopter to the trauma center at Marshfield Medical Center. There’s no word on her current condition.
