How did you first get involved with The Salvation Army?
I rang bells and volunteered with my wife in the “Toys for Tots” area.
What is your favorite memory/activity as a volunteer for The Salvation Army?
Trying to make a difference and helping to change someone’s life for the better. Helping them to believe in themselves and their families along with the value of work, love and kindness.
Why should others in the community care about the work The Salvation Army does?
Because we help to improve the lives of people who need a boost in life. We show them love, kindness and the importance of family and friends and that they are important and we care about them.
Anything else you would like to share about your volunteering with The Salvation Army to help encourage others?
By volunteering it brings out feelings of worth and kindness. It helps me more than what I do for others. I develop great friendships with co-workers and volunteers. I thelps me to know that I can make a difference in someone’s life. We can all make kindness and love a top priority.
