D.C. Everest Boys Basketball– The Evergreens are 2-0 on the young season and look like a team to keep an eye on as things progress.  Everest defeated Medford 80-65 on Friday and hammered Antigo 99-70 in the season opener on November 27.

SPASH Boys Hockey– The Panthers are off to a blazing start this season with a 3-0 record as of December 2.  SPASH’s week included a 5-1 win over Antigo, a 6-0 thumping of Marshfield, and a 3-1 win over Waukesha.

Newman Girls Basketball– It’s been an interesting stretch for the Cardinals in early season action.  After getting thumped by Wausau West on November 27, Newman rebounded with a 62-36 win over state-ranked Prentice.

Pacelli Girls Basketball– Pacelli notched a win over Marion on November 27 and looks like a contender in the early season.  The Cardinals will host rival Rosholt on December 4.

Wisconsin Rapids Boys Hockey– The Red Raiders suffered a 5-0 loss in their season opener, but rebounded in a big way against Waupaca on November 27.  Colton Flammini scored six goals  to lead the Red Raiders to a 8-4 victory.

Assumption Girls Basketball– Don’t look now, but the Royals are 4-0 in early season action.  The Royals showed off their defensive ability against Abbotsford on Thursday as they secured a 52-24 non-conference victory.

Neillsville Girls Basketball-– The Warriors are out to battle for a Cloverbelt Eastern title, and although it won’t be easy, Neillsville showed its power, destroying Black River Falls 63-16 in nonconference action.

Loyal Girls Basketball-– The Greyhounds picked up a convincing win of their own, downing Greenwood 72-22.

Nekoosa/Assumption Wrestling– Picking up 169 points, N/A wrestlers took the top spot at the Black River Falls Invite.
