WAUSAU — Choose Life Wisconsin donated $1,000 to Hope Life Center in late November to help women choose life for their babies.
The money was dispersed from a fund created by the Choose Life license plate sale in Wisconsin.
“These funds will be used to reach more young women and men on our mobile unit as they face decisions regarding their unborn children,” Hope Life Center Director Jack Hoogendyk said in a news release. “Most women who choose to terminate their pregnancies do so because they feel they don’t have the resources or support to continue the pregnancy. Thanks to our caring compassionate staff and volunteers and our ultrasound machines, which allow prospective moms to see their little ones moving about in their own wombs, women are educated, encouraged and empowered to choose life for their babies.”
Choose Life Wisconsin, Inc., is jointly administered by a partnership between Wisconsin Family Council and Pro-Life Wisconsin. So far this year, Choose Life grants of over $28,000 have been made to 20 pregnancy care centers around the state, according to the news release.
Hope Life Center services include pregnancy testing, STD testing and treatment, unlimited OB ultrasound exams, education, resources, abortion recovery support and sexual risk avoidance classes in schools and youth groups. All services are offered for free.
