WAUSAU — Thursday’s meeting of Women for Women Wausau will feature a speaker discussing the nature and purpose of Amnesty International, a non-government organization focused on human rights.

Judith Miller will speak at the meeting, which will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 at the Marathon County Democratic Party Office, 833 S. Third Ave., Wausau.

“In a world where we often feel unable to address far-reaching issues of inhumanity, cruelty and injustice, I feel Amnesty International offers us powerful and effective tools in the fight for a more just and equitable world,” said Miller, who represents the Wausau-based chapter of AI.

This free event is open to the public. Attendees should use the Sherman Street entrance of the Democratic Party Office.
