Acting Sheriff Richard Schmidt said Monday he ordered the arrest of the 43-year-old man from Milwaukee over the weekend.
In a news release, Schmidt said “Renegade staff will not be tolerated in the Sheriff’s Office.”
Sheriff’s detectives have filed their reports with the District Attorney’s office.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports no details about the alleged abuse were released. Schmidt says he will release more details after the DA’s office completes its review.
