TOWN OF WIEN — The body of a missing man was recovered late Sunday from a pond on private property in the Marathon County town of Wien.
The 73-year-old man was reported missing at about 6 p.m. Sunday after family members found fishing gear and a cell phone on the ice. The pond is on private property near Alpine Road in the town of Wien.
Members of the Marathon County Dive Team recovered the man’s body several hours later.
The name of the man has not yet been released.
