WAUSAU — Southbound traffic on Grand Avenue in Wausau is backed up for blocks as crews clear the scene of a two-car crash on Grand Avenue in Wausau.
Both southbound lanes of Grand Avenue were closed to traffic from Mason Street to Townline Road at about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday. An ambulance and several squad cars were at the scene of the crash, which appeared to have happened at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Townline.
A white coupe was towed from the scene, and a second car, a gray four-door sedan with heavy front-end damage, was still at the scene when a Wausau Pilot and Review reporter passed by.
There’s no word yet on injuries or the circumstances leading up to the crash.
