LINCOLN COUNTY — A man and two children escaped unharmed when their vehicle broke through the ice Saturday on Lake Alexander, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.

According to a media release, the driver of the vehicle called the Sheriff’s Department to alert authorities his vehicle had broken through the ice in an area known as Badeau’s Bay, off Hwy. 107 near South End Road.
