MADISON — A DeForest man is facing his fifth drunken driving charge after he was found Monday afternoon to be intoxicated during a traffic stop, officials said.

A Dane County sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop around 3:35 p.m. Monday in the Town of Burke on a black pickup truck, according to a release.

The driver, 40-year-old Michael T. Sellnow, was arrested on a tentative charge of fifth-offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, officials said.

Sellnow allegedly refused to provide a breath sample, so a search warrant was obtained and a blood sample was taken at a hospital, according to the release.

Sellnow was also cited for operating left of center, operating with open intoxicants and operating with an expired operator’s license.
