Wausau– Wausau East ran into a buzz saw agains Neenah on Saturday, losing by the final score of 69-55.
The Lumberjacks were led in scoring by Gabe Krueger, who netted 12 points. Ryan LaCerte and Ben Cayley finished the game with nine points each.
Neenah took a commanding 49-28 lead at halftime, and while the Lumberjacks outscored the Rockets 27-20 in the second half, it wasn’t enough to come away with the win.
East falls to 8-2 on the season and will resume action when Marshfield heads to Wausau for Wisconsin Valley Conference action on January 4.
