A Waukesha man has been arrested for eighth offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

The Racine County Sheriff’s Department said Kevin Tarbox was pulled over after a deputy paced him driving his Jeep at 100 mph on Interstate 94/41.

Police say Tarbox’s license was revoked and he had seven prior OWI convictions starting in 1994.

Court records show Tarbox was also on probation for his latest OWI conviction, which happened in 2015. A felony warrant had been issued for his arrest after he allegedly failed to follow the rules of his probation.

WISN-TV quotes Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling as stating Tarbox was speeding through a construction zone on slick road conditions when he was arrested.

Tarbox is being held in the Racine County Jail and is expected to appear Monday in court to face criminal charges.
