MOSINEE – Central Wisconsin Airport will hold an open house meeting in mid January for residents and community members to learn about the Airport Master Plan and provide direct feedback to airport staff.

The meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 17 in conference rooms A and B, above baggage claim, in the CWA terminal, 200 CWA Drive, in Mosinee.

CWA began the Airport Master Plan in late 2016 to address the airport’s capital and facility needs for the next 20 years, according to a CWA news release. This process began with a detailed look at CWA’s existing facilities and the aviation forecasts expected over the next 20 years. Several areas of need were identified in this process, including the following:

• Safety considerations for runway configuration and airfield geometry

• Long-term plans for general aviation and corporate development

• Snow removal equipment storage facility

The Master Plan project team has analyzed and identified preferred alternatives to address these needs. CWA is seeking community input on the preferred alternatives prior to presenting them to the Central Wisconsin Joint Airport Board for approval. More detailed information on the alternatives can be found on the CWA website at fly-cwa.org/master-plan.

Airport representatives will be available to answer questions and collect feedback.
