UPDATED, 2:21 p.m.: Less than 30 minutes after issuing an Amber Alert for a Shawano teen last seen on New Year’s Eve, state officials canceled the alert and said the girl has been found and is safe.

A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 15-year-old girl from Shawano last seen more than a week ago and is believed to be in danger.

Angel Tomow, also known as Angel Madosh, was last seen at  at 10 a.m. on Dec. 31 at her Shawano home. She has not been in direct contact with family since that date.

Police say they have reason to believe she is now in extreme danger, according to the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network. She may be in the Milwaukee or Chicago areas.

The identity of a suspect is not known at this time. No vehicle description has been released.

Angel is described as a Native American girl who is 5 feet tall weighing 100 pounds with long black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing light-colored blue jeans, a jean jacket and a black shirt. No scars or identifying marks were specified in the alert.
