Wisconsin Rapids– Down 52-38 at halftime of their game against D.C. Everest, it would have been easy for the Red Raiders to pack it in and call it a night. However, Rapids fought back and came up with an improbable 92-91 win over the Evergreens.
Austin Pelot hit a three pointer on an assist from Dylan Lisitza to put Rapids up 92-91 with seven seconds left.
Everest had the final possession, but couldn’t score, notching the win for Rapids, who improves to 1-3 in the Valley.
Everest’s conference record falls to 3-2.
Dylan Lisitza sparked Rapids’ offense with a career high 41 points. Joining him in double figures were Matt Schooley with 15 points and Nathan Krommenakker with 14 points.
