Dayne Hagedorn
WAUSAU — Wausau West High School senior Dayne Hagedorn was awarded the Chick Evans Scholarship for Caddies, the Wausau School District announced today. Hagedorn is one of 16 Wisconsin students to receive the full tuition and housing scholarship valued at more than $120,000 over four years.
Hagedorn was selected for his strong caddie record, excellent academics and outstanding character, according to the Wausau School District. More than 10,830 caddies throughout the United States have graduated as Evans Scholars since the program was founded in 1930.
Scholarship funds come from contributions by 32,000 golfers across the country who are members of the Evans Scholars Par Club program and donate more than $10 million annually. In addition, all proceeds from the BMW Championship, the third of four PGA Tour Playoff events in the PGA Tour’s FedExCup competition, are donated to the Evans Scholars Foundation.
