UWSP at Wausau to offer ACT prep course

WAUSAU — The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point at Wausau Office of Continuing Education and Outreach will offer an ACT prep course on Jan. 26.

This prep session is designed to assist students in preparing for the ACT assessment. Areas to be covered are English usage/mechanics and rhetorical skills, math problem-solving strategies, algebra, geometry, trigonometry reviews, test-taking strategies, science data representation, and analysis and interpretation of research summaries and conflicting hypotheses.

Students will work with actual past ACT tests and content taught by UW-Stevens Point professors. The fee for this course is $45 and the class is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 26.
