Phillips– After falling to D.C. Everest on Thursday night, the Newman Cardinals turned around and faced a talented Phillips team on Friday night.  Unfortunately for the Cardinals, the result was the same as  they dropped a 69-36 decision.

Newman was down 33-17 in the first half and was outscored by the Loggers 36-19 in the second half.

Newman is now 5-10 overall and on the season and 2-8 in Marawood South play.  The Cardinals will suit up again on January 22 against Marathon.

Phillips is 10-3 overall and 7-3 in conference play.
