WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW
TOWN OF NORRIE — Two people are without a home Wednesday after a fire tore through their Hatley-area home.
Crews from multiple fire departments responded at about 7 p.m. to a report of a structure fire at a location south of Hwy. 29 and CTH D at Hilltop Road.
Fire officials say the blaze appears to have started on the second floor of the home, which was engulfed in flames by the time crews arrived on scene.
The American Red Cross has secured temporary housing Wednesday for the displaced residents, but all their belongings were destroyed in the blaze.
There’s no word yet on what caused the fire, and no injuries were immediately reported.
