STEVENS POINT — Preschoolers and their parents can share time together hearing stories about animals and nature during the spring semester at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s Museum of Natural History.

Story Time at the Museum is a free program that brings natural history to life through books read by UW-Stevens Point students. Each session also includes an activity or art project related to the story.

Story Time is held biweekly on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Feb. 1, “Hooray for Birds” and “Grumpy Bird”
  • Feb. 15, “Hello, Baby Beluga” and “The Whale in My Swimming Pool”
  • March 1, “Night Animals” and “The Great Paper Caper”
  • March 29, “That Pesky Rat” and “Mouse Was Mad”
  • April 12, “Crazy Like a Fox: A Simile Story” and “How to Find a Fox”
  • April 26, “Finding Spring” and “Abracadabra, It’s Spring!”
  • May 10, “I Know a Rhino” and “Preposterous Rhinoceros”
