Wausau— Take a look at the Team of the Week candidates and vote today!

Colby Girls Basketball– The Hornets upped their record to 16-0 as they came up with a big Cloverbelt-East win over Neillsville on Friday.

SPASH Pom and Dance– SPASH took first place finishes in their Pom routine and their Hip Hop routine, respectively at the regional competiton in Wausau on Saturday advancing them to state in La Crosse this coming weekend.

Assumption Girls Basketball– The Royals notched a big non-conference victory over rival Pacelli on Saturday night, winning by the final score of 46-32.

Stratford Wrestling– The Stratford Tigers cleaned up on the mat at the Marawood Conference Tournament, picking up nine first place and three second place finishes.

Athens Girls Basketball– Athens took a 15 point halftime lead on the road at Phillips, only to see the Loggers fight back, and the Blue Jays held off a furious comeback, picking up a 69-65 Marawood Conference North Division win.

N/G/L Wrestling– Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal wrestlers took down Spencer/Columbus, picking up a 48-27 win. Picking up pins for N/G/L were Sayer Rachu and Kyler Rakovec.

Newman Girls Basketball– Newman avenged a loss to Stratford by fighting off the Tigers for a 59-47 win on Friday night.

Wausau East Boys Basketball– The Wausau East Lumberjacks have lost some tight games to Wisconsin Valley Conference opponents this season. On Tuesday night, East finally got a close game to go their way– and some payback– as they pulled out a 90-89 victory over D.C. Everest to pick up their third victory in Wisconsin Valley Conference play.
