WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW

TOWN OF WAUSAU — A machine shop and four vehicles were destroyed late Tuesday in a fast-moving blaze at a towing and auto repair business east of Wausau, fire officials said.

Town of Wausau Fire Chief Kevin Yolitz said no one was injured in the blaze, which was initially reported as a barn fire at about 10 p.m. Tuesday at Handrick Towing & Service, 2404 McIntosh St., just outside city limits.

Firefighters from the town of Easton, town of Texas and city of Wausau helped Easton battle the blaze for more than an hour. Yolitz said three of the four vehicles were inside the building, which was engulfed in flames by the time crews arrived.

The building is a total loss, Yolitz said.

The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined.
