TOWN OF RED SPRINGS — One person is dead and two other people were injured when a vehicle skidded out of control and struck a Shawano County home late Thursday, police said.
The crash was reported at about 10:45 p.m. on Hwy. G and Geider Road in the town of Red Springs. The victim, a 31-year-old man, was ejected from the vehicle after he struck a utility pole, an embankment and then the residence, according to the Shawano County Sheriff’s Department.
Efforts to revive the man were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 30-year-old passenger inside the vehicle was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries, which did not appear life-threatening.
One person inside the home was treated at the scene.
