Zoey Minnihan, D.C. Everest– Minnihan hit a three point shot with about 20 seconds to go in D.C. Everest’s win over Wisconsin Rapids on Friday night. Minnihan’s shot ended up being the game winner on senior night for the Evergreens.
Logan Zschernitz, Spencer/Columbus— The Rockets’ heavyweight remained unbeaten, pinning his way to a regional title at 285 pounds.
Marc Sippel, Wausau West– With the Warriors in a position to win the Wisconsin Valley Conference, Sippel took charge as he scored four goals in a 5-2 win over SPASH.
Madisyn Rogan, SPASH– The Panthers lost on Saturday to Chippewa Falls, but it was a big night for Rogan who scored 19 points and crossed the 1000 career point mark.
Stephen Buchanan, Loyal— Buchanan cruised to a regional title at 195 pounds for Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal on Saturday. After receiving a first round bye, Buchanan picked up a pair of first period pins to take the title. Buchanan improved to 42-0 on the season.
Maddie Michaelis/Jenna Jakobi, Marshfield– Marshfield scored a big upset over Wausau West on Friday night with Michaelis and Jakobi leading the way. Michaels finished with 24 points and Jakobi poured in 23.
Ben Barten, Stratford– Barton had 27 points and 13 rebounds for the Tigers in a blow out win over Chequamegon.
Hailey Voelker, Colby– Voelker turned in a nice performance in a balanced attack from Colby as the Hornets defeated Loyal on Saturday night to remain undefeated on the season.
Carter Hanke, Marathon– Hanke poured in 20 points for the Red Raiders as they fought off Edgar 68-39.
Brianna Simington/Jennifer Wendler, Owen-Withee— Simington and Wendler combined for 42 points as O-W took it to Greenwood, 70-40.
Joe Aguilera, Abbotsford-– Aguilera came away with a regional title at 170 pounds on Saturday, one of five Falcons qualifying for sectional play.
Bryce Fuerlinger/Noah Taylor, Columbus Catholic— Fuerlinger and Taylor combined for 38 points as Columbus defeated Owen-Withee 68-45.
