WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW

Yet another winter storm is headed for central Wisconsin, with snow totals between 8 and 11 inches expected by midnight Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning effective from 9 p.m. Monday through midnight on Tuesday. The warning comes on the heels of a winter storm watch, a system that dumped several inches of snow in the area on Sunday.

This time around, expect the snow to be heavy and wet. Officials say the storm will make travel hazardous or even impossible, and motorists should try to stay away from the roads if possible.

If you must travel, weather officials say, keep a flashlight, blankets, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
