A towing restriction is in place for Marathon County, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol and Marathon County Sheriff’s Department.
Only vehicles in the roadway, on the shoulder, or affect plowing operations will be towed, according to a public Marathon County Sheriff’s Department Facebook post. The restrictions will remain in place until the weather clears.
If a vehicle is being left to be towed at a later time, officers will obtain the telephone number of the vehicle owner and the preferred tow company.
