An 18-year-old Stevens Point Area Senior High School student reported missing Monday is safe and is back at home, according to the La Crosse Sheriff’s Department.
18-year-old Jackson Kelly, a standout athlete, was discovered in La Crosse on Tuesday. Police say he was not in any danger and is not injured.
Police responded at about 6 a.m. Monday to a Plover residence when family members discovered Kelly had left the home and did not show up for school. The Wisconsin Crime Alert Network issued a statewide alert asking for the public’s help locating the teen.
Plover police say the alert was issued because Kelly’s disappearance was out of character and they were concerned for his safety.
