WAUSAU — You can make the Northwoods safer and stronger as an American Red Cross disaster volunteer.
The local chapter of the Red Cross is holding a statewide disaster volunteer training event from March 6-9 at the Westwood Conference Center in Wausau.
Red Cross members will be able to talk about volunteer opportunities that include home fire responders, veteran and service member ambassadors, blood drive transportation, smoke alarm installers and media relations experts.
