MARATHON COUNTY — A portion of Hwy. 97 in Marathon County is closed to traffic following a rollover crash that left one person injured.
The crash was reported at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday near Stratford. Responding crews advised the road has areas of black ice and significant drifting of snow and asked that the roadway be blocked off until the crash scene could be cleared.
The victim in the crash suffered head injuries, but the severity of those injuries is not yet known.
There’s no word yet on how long the closure is expected to last.
