WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW

SCHOFIELD, WIs. — Crews are at the scene of a blaze that broke out Monday night at a Schofield auto service center.

The blaze was reported at about 8:55 p.m. Monday.

Witnesses say heavy smoke is pouring from the building and flames are reportedly being seen inside the building at K& S Fuel Injection and Service Center 6007 Municipal St., Schofield. The business services diesel engines and is just one of six auto repair shops in the state specializing in rebuilding diesel fuel injection pumps.

Unconfirmed scanner traffic indicates the business is undergoing some remodeling due to water damage in the building.

There’s no word yet on the cause of the blaze. No injuries have so far been reported.
