TOWN OF TEXAS —Registration is now open for the second annual Clays, Queens & Kids event benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The event will be held May 18 at the Wausau Skeet and Trap Club, T196 Highway WW in the town of Texas, just outside of Wausau. The sport shooting event begins at 8 a.m. offering an array of activities, from a 50-clay sporting course for shooters (participants can pre-register and register the morning of), to mini-games and raffle prizes.

In 2018, the event raised nearly $3,000 in its inaugural year. Those proceeds were donated to CMN Hospitals to help the new Miss Wisconsin Outstanding Teen and Miss Wisconsin reach their fundraising goals for Miss America’s Outstanding Teen and Miss America.

This year, Grace Stanke, organizer of the event, has set a goal to raise $10,000. Groups, hunting organizations and/or businesses are encouraged to create teams for the event. Donations are tax deductible.
