WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW

City officials in Wausau announced several road closures on Friday after heavy rains and flooding swept through the area.

Due to a compromised storm sewer, North 14th Street from Golf Club Road to Woodland Ridge Road will be closed to thru traffic, according to a Department of Public Works release. Residents will be able to access their homes from the north or the south. Work is being performed approximately mid-block. There’s no word on how long the road closure is expected to continue.

In addition, McIndoe Street from North 10th Street to Highland Park Boulevard is closed to thru traffic due to a compromised manhole, city officials say. There’s no estimate on how long the block will be closed.
