WAUSAU — The Wisconsin Woodchucks continue to build their 2019 roster with their newest additions, Brady Devereux from the University of Pittsburgh, Colson Geisler from Texas A&M University, and Beau Nicholas from Hillsborough Community College.
According to the Woodchucks:
Brady Devereux, a 6’2”, 200-pound freshman from the University of Pittsburgh joins the Woodchucks for the 2019 season as a pitcher. So far in his first season with the Panthers, he has a 3.48 ERA and 17 strikeouts through 10.1 innings of work. In high school, Devereux played at Malvern Preparatory School in Malvern, Pennsylvania, and helped his team to three State Title Championships in 2015, 2016 and 2018. He finished 17th overall by Baseball America for his senior season.
Colson Geisler, a 6’0”, 175-pound freshman from Columbus, Texas, is in his first season with the Aggies. He was named an All-District 25-4A First Team designated hitter in 2017 and was selected as All-District 25-4A First Team as a pitcher in 2016 as a high schooler. Geisler has made two relief appearances for the Aggies so far in 2019.
Beau Nichols, a 5’11”, 190-pound sophomore is in his first season at Hillsborough Community College. In 2018, he played for the University of North Carolina-Asheville where he pitched 26.2 innings with 22 K’s. Originally from Lithia, Florida, Nichols will join the Woodchucks as a pitcher. He has appeared in 10 games and pitched 19 innings with 19 strikeouts and a 1.89 ERA at Hillsborough Community College.
The Wisconsin Woodchucks 2019 home opener is June 1. Single game tickets will go on sale in April.
