WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department reported these major incidents for the week ending March 18, 2019:

Two people were injured following a two vehicle crash Monday in the Town of King. At 12:28 p.m. a vehicle being driven by an 81-year-old Tomahawk woman was turning into a driveway on County Rd D at Birch Rd when she struck an eastbound vehicle being driven by a 60 year old Tomahawk woman. That driver, along with her passenger, a 34-year-old Tomahawk man were transported by Tomahawk EMS to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital for treatment of their injuries. County Rd D was closed for about an hour.

One person received minor injuries after a single vehicle crash Tuesday night in the Town of King. At 9:30 p.m. the rollover was reported on County Rd A at Horseshoe Road. The driver of the vehicle, a 21-year old Tomahawk woman refused medical transport. At 10:30 that evening a vehicle rollover was reported on County Rd D at County Rd H, but no injuries were reported in that crash.

A 42-year-old Irma woman was arrested Wednesday evening on a warrant charge. Deputies went to a home in the Town of Skanawan to investigate a disturbance just before 6 p.m. When contact was made with the woman it was found she was wanted by the Oneida County Sheriff.

A 24-year-old Merrill man was arrested Thursday afternoon on a warrant charge. A deputy had contact with the man at the Lincoln County Court House and learned he was wanted for violating the terms of his probation.

A 27-year-old Merrill man is in the Lincoln County Jail following an altercation at a Town of Merrill tavern early Saturday morning. Deputies responded to the tavern just after 2 a.m. when 911 callers reported a disturbance. The man was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, resisting arrest, and a felony charge of battery to a law enforcement officer.

Two people reported they had struck deer on Lincoln County roadways.
