WAUSAU – The Wisconsin Woodchucks have signed Jared Pettitte from the University of Houston and Alec Arnone from the University of California Riverside to the 2019 roster, the Woodchucks announced today.

Jared Pettitte

Pettitte, 6’3” and 205 pounds, is a sophomore at the University of Houston. Pettitte has five strikeouts in 4.2 innings pitched and a 1-0 record this year, according to the Woodchucks. Pettitte is the son of Andy Pettitte, three-time MLB All-Star pitcher for the New York Yankees and Houston Astros.

Alec Arnone

Arnone, a 6’2”, 220-pound freshman at University of California Riverside, will join the Woodchucks this summer as a pitcher. Arnone has nine K’s through 11.2 innings on the mound in his first season with the Highlanders. He has a 1-1 record and one save.

The Woodchucks 2019 home opener is June 1.
