WESTON — The Woodson YMCA will hold Healthy Kids Day for all community members on April 27 to inspire kids to keep their minds and bodies active.

Families will have plenty of fun at this free event with such activities as Cardio Kids class, open swim and log rolling (bring a swim suit) and the Wisconsin National Guard’s obstacle course. Kids who complete the Healthy Kids Day Challenge punch card will win prizes.

The first 200 kids who attend will receive colorful drawstring bags. Prizes for completing the Healthy Kids Day Challenge include a 30-day YMCA family membership and two weeks of YMCA summer camp.

Healthy Kids Day will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at the Aspirus Branch, 3402 Howland Ave. in Weston. The event includes educational activities from vendors such as the Wausau Children’s Museum, the Woodson Art Museum, Red Door Family Farm, the South Area Fire District, Wisconsin Lions vision screening, and staff from the Woodson YMCA Child Care, Summer Camp and Woodson YMCA Community Garden.
