Everest baseball takes two from East

Wausau– D.C. Everest took two games from Wausau East on Tuesday.  Everest took ten innings to knock out the Lumberjacks in one game that ended up with a 3-2 final score.  Everest’s second win came by the score of 9-6.

In the 3-2 win, the score of the game stood tied at 1-1 in the fourth inning and stayed that way through regulation.

Everest broke through for two runs in the top of the tenth and, despite giving up a run to the Lumberjacks in the bottom of the tenth, secured the win.

Jackson Miles and Cade Sivertson led Everest with two hits each.  Owen Lantendresse tripled for the Evergreens.

Jacob Thome was 3-5 for the Lumberjacks.  Andrew Heinzen, Sam Schubring and Ryan Selby each had two hits for East.

In the 9-6 Everest win, Sivertson doubled twice and drove in two to lead the Evergreens’ attack.

Lantendresse also had two hits and drove in two runs.

Heinzen led East with a 3-4 performance at the plate.
