WAUSAU — Blessings That Give Hope recently received a three-year grant from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
This food program at Pilgrim Lutheran Church provides four meals and two snacks every weekend during the school year to John Marshall Elementary School students who might otherwise go hungry. It is funded and implemented primarily through church members.
With the recent grant, the program can double the number of children it serves from 20 to 40, the church said.
