A 12-year-old girl who was injured in a Weston motorcycle crash is recovering Monday after undergoing surgery for a broken femur, according to family members.

The girl, whose name has not been released, was injured when the motorcycle she was riding on struck a deer. She was taken to a local hospital where she underwent surgery on Sunday morning, family members said.

The girl’s father, the driver of the motorcycle, was also injured, fracturing a bone in his lower leg. He is not hospitalized.

The crash was reported just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday on Camp Phillips Road.
