WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW

ST. GERMAIN, Wis. — Three young children and an adult driver were injured Monday in a single vehicle rollover crash in St. Germain, according to a WJFW report.

Vilas County Sheriff’s Capt. Gerry Ritter told WJFW the driver, who was a woman, and one child were thrown from the vehicle when it rolled on Hwy. 70 westbound. The crash happened at about 5 p.m.

Two other children were also in the car at the time and were all in car seats, Ritter said. Their ages have not been specified.

All four patients were transported to Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff and are expected to survive.

Police say they suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The crash shut down Hwy. 70 west of St. Germain for more than two hours.

The crash remains under investigation and no criminal charges have been filed at this time.
