Tickets are still available for the Marathon County Alcohol and Other Drugs Partnership’s annual Spotlight event, slated for Tuesday at the Jefferson Street Inn.

The event begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 23. This is the ninth year of the Spotlight Event, which helps bring awareness to substance abuse issues while honoring people and organizations working to reduce the burden of substance abuse in the community.

This year’s theme, Bridging the Gap, was chosen to bring attention to those that inspire people to come together around such issues, and help connect individuals and families to what they need, when they need it.

Following a short recap of 2018 successes, the AOD Partnership will be awarding five 2018 Spotlight Awards. Among the winners are a collection of mental health providers who are bringing mental health to schools, a local foundation, a leader in continuing education, a recovery advocate, and an innovative law enforcement & crisis response team.

Tickets are still available for $20 per person or $100 for a six-person table. Walk-Ins are welcome. Doors open at 5 p.m. for the silent auction and the program starts promptly at 5:30 p.m.
