SCHOFIELD — Crews are battling a blaze that broke out Thursday morning at a Schofield home.
Witnesses tell Wausau Pilot and Review flames are visible at the back of the home, which is located at the corner of Grand Avenue and Country Club Road. The initial call came in at around 7:15 a.m.
Heavy smoke is pouring from the one-story building and one nearby building was evacuated as a result of the blaze.
Multiple agencies have been called to assist in battling the blaze. There’s no word yet on injuries, but firefighters say all occupants of the home escaped safely.
